Get ready for REV Connect’s Innovative Energy Efficiency Innovation Sprint. This Sprint offers energy efficiency (EE) solution providers a time-bound opportunity to work with New York utilities to shape ideas that will animate New York’s EE market, deliver value to customers, and feed into near-term partnership opportunities.
On Earth Day, New York State announced an ambitious new energy efficiency target of 185 trillion Btus (British thermal units) of site energy savings below the 2025 energy-use forecast – equivalent to saving the energy consumed by 1.8 million New York homes. To help reach this new target, New York State is catalyzing the innovation needed to bring energy efficiency into homes and businesses. The New Efficiency: New York report recommends a comprehensive mix of strategies.
REV Connect’s Innovative Energy Efficiency Sprint facilitates the development of innovative ideas and business models in partnership with utilities that will transform the mix of utility energy efficiency investments to drive greater impact, while leveraging public dollars with multiples of private dollars to deliver more impact.

REV Connect works to bring companies together with New York’s six investor-owned electric utilities to accelerate innovation, adopt new business models and technologies, and advance REV goals through REV demonstration projects and other deployment opportunities. While REV Connect continuously accepts rolling submissions of innovative ideas across a variety of topics, this Innovation Sprint allows New York utilities to hone in on a specific area of interest: supporting the adoption of EVs, the expansion of EV infrastructure, and the intelligent integration of EVs into the electric grid.
